Gnome

How can I uninstall Gnome 2.4 to make room for something else.

I use Slackware 9.1

If someone has an exact filename that'd be great!

THanks!!!!!

P.S. the reason I need it done is so I can install 2.6, but my partition isn't big enough. Plus 2.4 screwed up, so I would need to reinstall it anyway, but it is still there

If, as root, you do
Code:
removepkg /var/log/packages/gnome*
that will remove a lot of the GNOME stuff. There will still be some libraries that could be uninstalled but I don't know their names because I install Dropline GNOME.

I'm no Linux Guru but I do know that Gnome is made up of many, many different packages. There is no wonderful "gnome-2.4.rpm" package. Here is a listing of the packages when you install it, gives you an idea of how many there are: http://www.gnome.org/start/2.4/notes...tallation.html
It might be faster to just re-install your distro with only KDE - but that's probably not the best way.
