So I bought a Creative Zen Micro on the cheap (the pink one, of course), and promptly downloaded Gnomad2 since it supports the Creative products.
When I go to use the "music transfer" tab, it will transfer over the MP3's about ~20% of the time. The rest of the time it freezes up mid-upload. I have to unplug the Zen and end the Gnomad2 process since its too "jukebox busy" to quit.
I thought it was corrupted MP3 files, but I can get a "bad" song to transfer over after a few tries. Other times it will get through up to two songs before crapping out.
Do I need to update either the Gnomad2 software, or the Zen firmware? After some casual research, it appears that some people are having better luck running Gnomad in "root"?? What does that mean? Installed in the root directory..??
I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 (Fiesty)
I'm new at this MP3 player thing, as well as Linux! So sorry of the newbie questions.
