Hi, I am having some trouble running gmplayer (ie, mplayer with the gui).
First off, I can run it from the command prompt if I do the standard:
$ mplayer filename.mpg (for example).
However, if I try to run gmplayer I get the following error:
[david@localhost david]$ gmplayer

Any ideas? I didn't install this myself, it came with my distro (JAMD Linux). Running it from the K Menu yields the same result. Mplayer also runs fine as a plugin with mozilla.
nope... I just want to start the gui so I can then select a file.
I have a "shortcut" to mplayer on my kicker and I want to start it and then select a file to open.
If I try to "gmplayer filename.mpg" I get the same error as listed above.

I'm looking at the above and since you're trying to run gmplayer I gotta ask, did you install any skins at all?
