GMplayer Hangs
Im not sure if the fault is with a command line im not giving the program or in the compile but anyway, every time
I start up gmplayer like so: gmplayer -dvd 1 -alang en -slang en -dvd-device /mnt/cdrom, I recieve no error, however, the program hangs and when I press enter it does nothing, but when I exit the shell I get a fatal error like the following: MPlayer interrupted by signal 1 in module: unknown And incase you havent noticed I am a :newbie:. I have been a windows weenie since I was five years old and I am trying to switch over. |
If you want the GUI, have you tried to just run gmplayer then when it comes up or if it comes up, open or select what file/device you want to play from ?

-dvd-device
shouldn't that be set to something like /dev/dvd or /dev/hdc depending on which device points to your dvd player. You shouldn't mount the dvd when trying to play the dvd in mplayer. If you have the link /dev/dvd pointing to the right location then the -dvd 1 option should be enough. |
I tried running only gmplayer, but it still hangs and no gui comes up.
