GMplayer Attached/Detached Skin

In gmplayer, is there a way to make the skin behave like its part of the main window? In KDE you can tell the skin to not show up in the taskbar, but I actually would like the skin to act like the Xine skins which are considered part of the main window. This is mainly for when I have to do fullscreen watching. The tabbing to the skin controls is rather annoying, plus it pops up the rest of the taskbar.

Also, does anyone know how to setup mouse commands in their input.conf in gmplayer? I can do it for regular mplayer but not in the GUI.

Just playing around with mine - I note the behavior depends on the skin. If you use the "Abyss" skin, this dosn't happen. Abyss has a control panel which pops up when you rest the mouse on the bottom edge of the screen.

My gmplayer installation uses the same options and config as mplayer does - basically being the same program with a gui frontend. But then, I installed from source via: www.mjmwired.net resources.

The mplayer in the Ubuntu apt repos is not as full featured as the source version.

IMO: mplayer is not an entertainment system. I use Xine-ui for dvd's and Totem for everything else.
