Gmail checker for linux/windows

Hello,

I have a gmail email checker on windows and it is pissing me off because it supports only one account at a time.

I want to also be able to have the same ability on linux.

Please give me some links, it is bugging the crap out of me.

Kmail does it, and so does your browser.

Hey,

Gmail offers POP access, so you should be able to check multiple accounts with Thunderbird or any other mail client.

you could use superkaramba and the gmoo (i think) theme. It looked fairly dodgy last time I used it, and it doesn't stand up to the gmail notifier extention for firefox, but it might help.

Firefox (and mozilla?) have a gmail checker plugin

This is what I've been using : http://gmail-notify.sourceforge.net/

It sits in your system tray like the official notifier does on windows. It doesn't support checking multiple accounts, but you can run 2 copies of it.

One warning however, is that it stores your password in plaintext in the config file.
