glu.h not found

I'm trying to compile gtkglext-1.0.6 features in my system.
While running
./configure in gtklextt directory I got an error
...cut
checking GL/glx.h usability... yes
checking GL/glx.h presence... yes
checking for GL/glx.h... yes
checking GL/gl.h usability... yes
checking GL/gl.h presence... yes
checking for GL/gl.h... yes
checking GL/glu.h usability... no
checking GL/glu.h presence... no
checking for GL/glu.h... no
configure: error: Cannot find OpenGL headers

So glu.h GL header file is needed for gtklext compilation, but that
does not exist in my system (Debian 3.1 testing).
I have installed all -dev packages I think are relevant to GL
(xlibosmesa-dev, xlibmesa-gl-dev), but no glu.h has been
installed in GL directories.

So the question is, where I can find glu.h header file?
Either -dev.deb package or link to somewhere from where I can
download needed header files.

Thanks again!

You most likely need libglu1-xorg-dev if you are running the Xorg server. You may want to install apt-file so you can do searching on your machine, you need to run apt-file update as root to update its package cache then you can run the search as normal user.

Code:
apt-file search GL/glu.h
libglu1-mesa-dev: usr/include/GL/glu.h
libglu1-xorg-dev: usr/X11R6/include/GL/glu.h
libglu1-xorg-dev: usr/include/GL/glu.h
mingw32-runtime: usr/i586-mingw32msvc/include/GL/glu.h
xlibmesa-glu-dev: usr/X11R6/include/GL/glu.h
xlibmesa-glu-dev: usr/include/GL/glu.h

RPM Search points to this file being in the xorg-x11-devel package.

Edit: Woops Took too long replying to another thread before I got to this tab, a Delete option would be nice.
