GKrellmms - streaming live audio

I've decided to resurrect GKrellm on my Ubuntu 16.04 box as I liked the various options for monitoring and other things it does. I installed the GKrellmms plug-in as when previously running it I liked the option of streaming live audio with it. Now however I'm having a problem getting that to work. I want to stream from this site - https://absoluteradio.co.uk/listen/links/ I've saved one of the stream URLs as live.pls. It looks like this:

Code:
[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1
File1=http://mp3-ac-128.timlradio.co.uk/
Title1=Absolute Classic Rock - Home of the Great British Guarantee (High Quality)
Length1=-1
Version=2
for the life of me though I can't get xmms2 to add the link to my play list whether I try through the GKrellmms plug-in, calling xmms2 from the cli or by running gxmms2 the front-end for xmms2. I'm pretty sure it's a simple mistake I'm making but for the life of me I can't figure out what I'm doing incorrectly.

I was able to stream it in audacious as a test. The audio stream was extremely intermittent and I got quite a few metadata errors pop up as I let the stream run. Maybe the issue isn't on your end? I tried it over wifi, but it seems unlikely the issue was with my connection. I stream Spotify and Pandora on this connection all the time without problems. I would also like to note that the I tried the 70s stream URLs and was only able to get the Ogg Flag link to play.

EDIT: I wasn't able to get xmms to play anything at all.

Thanks for the reply, I got this link to work perfectly in Audacious http://network.absoluteradio.co.uk/c...pls?service=ac I just can't figure out how to add a URL to a play in XMMS2 though. I've even tried on the CLI with XMMS2. There is a log file created in ~/.cache/xmms2 not sure if it's any help

Code:

There has got to be a way to add a live stream otherwise what good is it as a plug-in for GKrellm.
