gkrellmm plugins and GTK+
RH7.2
I want to install acouple plugins for gkrellm, which require GTK+; before I install that and glib that goes with...I just wonder if the "latest " is what I want...RPM on the ftp site is like 1999...and will I "messup" anything, or are these just libraries to have for compiling the programs that require them? Libraries and such intimidate me a little. I'm on a little bit of a tear here with gkrellm oh and icecast. How much fun I am having! |
You might as well get the newest ones while you're at it. Especially since (well in my case) glibc is large and takes a while to download. There shouldn't be any dependancy problems, and if there was something odd then RedHat should pick up on it anyhow if you are using the up2date utility....

includes bonus subquestion!
Got gtk + and glib installed. actually just took them off the cd.
SO, what does /bin/sh: gtk-config: command not found /bin/sh: imlib-config: command not found mean? Imlib must be somehting else i need to install, but, do these errors mean, uh, there's not a link somewhere, or, uh, I shouldn't even be guessing. What are header files? |
