gkrellm reporting half fan speeds??

hi, i just installed lm_sensors..everything is good except for in gkrellm it is reporting half of my fan speed from the bios, speed is 5000 saying it is 2500, and then i installed the lm_sensors plugin for gkrellem and it is reporting the correct speed, so why is gkrellm saying differently??? I know its not a big deal or anything but just curious to why... -thanks

There's a config file for the lm_sensors package. You need to identify your sensor hardware and locate that section in the file. You can change the way it calculates the output there.

As for gkrellm - it probably uses its own config.

Since you've got that up and running, why not have a look at xosd and supported plugins which can give you thin pop-up info (a-la on-screen display) info. Works great in xmms. (Nod to Acid_Kewpie for showing me the light)

ok, all that was wrong was in the gkrellm sensor correction section, under fan it was .5, so that why was cut in half. -thanks
