gkrellm mail check + ssl
Having a problem with mail check when having ssl selected. Basically, it doesnt work. I can have a few messages on the server (isp pop3) and gkrellm wont report that there is mail. As soon as I deselect the ssl box on the account..it works fine.
When using other mailers such as sylpheed, thunderbird, opera m2...ssl works fine. Just like the fact that gkrellm can check every so often and report back how many mails i have.
Is anyone else having this problem? Also, is ssl very important? I am under the impression that it is since gkrellm would be sending the username and pass in plain text if not selected.
thanks for any help.

As usual, please correct me if I'm mistaken.
I assumed GKrellM checks local mail, meaning it's already on your harddrive....would it not be useless to bother will SSL in this case?
