gkrell & xmms

Hi all-

Is there a way to run xmms COMPLETELY from the gkrell plugin? By this I mean I don't want the xmms gui to pop up if I launch it from gkrell...
would I use something like an
X-KDE-StartupNotify=false
somewhere? Thanks in advance for any ideas

I don't have an anwser to your question, but I was just wondering what application this would serve? Why would you not want the GUI to come up? How would you use it then... just by the itouch plugin or something?

when I launch xmms from the gkrellm gui, I want it to start playing from a specified directory without the xmms gui popping up...the gkrellm plugin lets you play, stop,go to the next track,etc...and that's all I need

If it always brings up the xmms gui, what's the point of the plugin in the first place? I don't see why I need TWO sets of controls for xmms if I can control what's playing directly from gkrellm

I use xmms-kde all the time and it works great... It's not in the system monitor but from the Kicker. I have mine just left of my clock and you can pretty much control most functions without opening xmms.
