gimp2_0-2.0.4-1 don't open


hi!

I've downloaded the rpm of gimp2_0-2.0.4-1 on rpm.pbone.net

to install it, I install glibc-2.3.3-21mdk.i586.rpm, libgimp2.0_0-2.0.4-1mdk.i586.rpm and libgimp2.0-devel-2.0.4-1mdk.i586.rpm as asked during the instalation process.

Everything OK, I'm working with Mandrake10 and KDE

But now I cant lauch the gimp ! I don't understande why? The process begins and ....... disapear, I don't receive any error message!

can you help me?

Do you type 'gimp' in the command line to start it? The new command is:

gimp-2.0

Maybe thats the problem?

hi, thanks for you answer but.......

i was not using the line comand but the shortcut created on my menu bar...... it seems like begining, an icon appears on my taskbar but disapear........

I've tried by comand line, here is the result :

[tony@localhost tony]$ gimp-2.0
gimp-2.0: symbol lookup error: gimp-2.0: undefined symbol: gdk_threads_lock

is this helping you

I think that is a gtk issue. Make sure you have all the possible gtk packages installed.
