GIMP Question

I have been using the script-fu extension in GIMP to make text logos for my web pages, and I have been very happy with the results. However, I am now working on a website in French, and this extension does not allow me to include accented characters.

Does anyone out there know of a way to produce logos in French either using GIMP or maybe some other program?

If you use a word processor such as OpenOffice to type the name you want (including the accented characters, umlauts etc), you can then just copy and paste it into the Script-Fu and create the logo with all the 'unusual' characters.
