Gimp issues with Linux Mint 20

Good day!

I did a manual upgrade yesterday to Linux Mint 20 from 19/3. All when well and everything for the most part is great.
All but one thing. When I am creating a aol mail login thumbnail current Gimp will not show any numbers. What i Get instead of numbers is a BOX with numbers in it. 00/30. I am assuming I am missing something. All packages are up to date

I don't understand.
What does "creating a thumbnail" mean? I see no such function in GIMP.
And what numbers are you expecting to see where?
