Hi

I did a simple search for "Gimp DVD" on ebay.com just now. It returned only one offer from the UK, a DVD with like 3 hours of tutorials...
It seems the best way would be burning the videos you find most interesting onto DVD's (or putting it on other approtiate media)
(If I got this correctly, you want to watch the tutorials with your DVD player and work with the GIMP simultaneously, which is more comfortable than switching the windows around on your PC...)

Of course there are free video tutorials, but are there free ones with good quality? I just looked around (google) and found some free ones where the voice is quiet, hard to understand and the speaker always says "ehrm", which should be different in commercial products. If someone knows where to find free quality stuff, please post here. I would never mean to say that free stuff is bad (especially not GNU software), but when it comes to media (videos, music... -> http://creativecommons.org/), it becomes more difficult to find good stuff.

I think some of the free ones are good, but; I am sure there are plenty bad ones. I have seen paid services that were bad before, paying money does not guarantee quality and free does not necessarily mean crap. A lot of what this forum covers is free, and I would say there are a lot of quality projects, podcast vidcast and so on that are free. In the end the user has to decide quality and do a little homework to figure out what works for their needs.

WHY a video ???
there are plenty of tutorials ALL OVER THE WEB
the user manual
http://www.gimp.org/docs/
tutorials
http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/
the wiki
http://wiki.gimp.org/gimp/
http://wiki.gimp.org/gimp/GimpTutorials
a good page
and GREAT BOOK "Grokking The GIMP: Advanced Techniques for Working with Digital Images"
http://gimp-savvy.com/

and so on....

The BEST way to learn it is HANDS ON and practice ,practice ,practice
the gimp is fairly easy to use but a life time to master
i have been using it since 2001
