Gimp 2 doesn't start anymore?
I'm running SuSE 9.3. After doing the online update and having trouble with sounds, I've uninstalled some of the sound and video gadgets I don't need at all. Then I used the Gnome Config to reduce the font size in Gimp (was way too large even on my big screen). Next day I couldn't start Gimp anymore. Already removed and re-installed Gimp from the DVD, but the result persists: no way to start Gimp. Because I'm kind of a newbie, I don't know where to look for error log files. In my desperation I've already installed the glib dev libs because I thought they might be important for the Gimp, but nooothing.
Is there anything I can repair (even ran the system repair from the DVD), maybe a start script or something similar? Any help will be appreciated! (I don't like to completely install a new system...) |
You will find log files in /var/log. Some of the files you can view as user with the cat command. Others, you will have to su to root in order to view them.
