Question giFToxic can't find.....

Hi guys,

First off i would like to say thanx to everyone who makes all of this posible. Now i am still really new to the linux (MDK 9.2) world so with that in mind, i understand the following error i'm just not sure of how to adjust the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable. Oh and to save the question i have libgift 11.1.1.

checking for GNU gettext in libc... yes
checking for pkg-config... /usr//bin/pkg-config
checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.3 libgift >= 0.10.0... Package libgift was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgift.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'libgift' found

configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.3 libgift >= 0.10.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
[tna@localhost giFToxic]$ make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

Thank you for your help

ok, finally back on this

I downloaded that libgift-devel rpm and when i try to install i got this error

Some package requested cannot be installed:
libgift-devel-0.11.5-alt1.i586 (due to unsatisfied libgift[== 0.11.5-alt1])
do you agree ?
