Angry giFT users - help with OpenFT

my OpenFT connection keeps dying out after initially connecting. here's some of the output of giftd -v, along with the error:
Code:
[15:43:45] giftd 0.11.6 (Feb 15 2004 15:28:05) started
[15:43:45] OpenFT: ft_openft.c:256(openft_start): Booya! OpenFT in the house!

[15:46:28] *** GIFT-WARNING: OpenFT: no stats-provider found, falling back to number of established connections (0)...
etc.

i changed the port in ~/.giFT/OpenFT/OpenFT.conf to a couple of different things -- 0, random -- but nothing is working. (it was originally set to a number which i've forgotton, so if anyone could take a look at their conf file and tell me what the default setting is i'd appreciate it.)

this is really starting to p!ss me off -- w/out openft i'm actually getting better hits in windows with kazaalite. anyone have any suggestions?

Found the following at http://reviewed.homelinux.org/software/p2p/p2p.html.en :

Quote:
A common first time error when using OpenFT is:

GIFT-WARNING: OpenFT: no stats-provider found, falling back to number of established connections

..because the default nodes list is outdated so giFT does not find any OpenFT starting point. The solution is to get a nodelist from somewhere on the net:

wget http://jasta.gotlinux.org/gift/nodes
mv -f nodes ~/.giFT/OpenFT/nodes

Well... I tested OpenFT with the above node-file. It disconnected after a couple of minutes. After waiting some hours, OpenFT re-connected and it works OK now.

Note: I recompiled the OpenFT Plugin 0.2.1.2 with new files from the CVS. I don't know if that solves the problem (also, I don't know how CVS works... just tried some files).

OpenFT CVS: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.p...y=date#dirlist (I used ft_http_server.c untill ft_search_obj.c).
