I am flummoxed.....I have installed giFT and all its sister files, as well as the Apollon frontend, and of course the giFT daemon wont start....the conf files are edited correctly (actually went through the whole thing) and when typing $ giftd, I get "unable to start fasttrack" and in Apollon it tells me the daemon "appears to be down, and I cant start it"
the only thing I can think of is this....shouldnt there be a apollon.so file in /usr/bin?
there is an apollon file there, but it is locked and when clicked it says "/usr/bin/apollon doesnt seem to exist anymore.....does apollon.so need to be in that directory??
I feel that I am so close, but not able to share files yet.....I am using Fedora Core 1
BTW...there is an Apollon.so file in /usr/local/kde/bin.....would it serve any purpose to copy that file to /usr/bin??
yes, I did RTFM...lol
