GIF Animator

Hi, I'm looking for a program that I can use to create animated gif files on linux. I've heard people say that it's possible in the gimp, but I can't figure out how gimp can do it. I just use gimp for drawing usually. So if anyone knows of any programs or can explain how to do it in gimp, I'd be very appreciative.

OS: FC3
Gimp: 2.05

You can use The Gimp. Just create a layer for each frame and at the end of the layer name add the delay you want in milliseconds - ie "Frame1 (100ms)" "My Picture (5000ms)". Then when you save it as a gif make sure you select the animation box. You can also set a default delay for frames you haven't specified one for.
