Ghostview and pdf permissions problem

Hi,

I run SuSE 9.1, with Ghostview 7.07

While getting CUPS to work I managed to mess something up with ghostview.

I can print fine now. I can view pdfs in Konquerer as root. However, when logged in as anyone else I get the error: Unknown device X11. I noticed that, on my system, X11 is a pointer to a directory X11R6 in /USR

After further blundering with the configuration I now cannot open the pdf file at all. I tried reinstalling the SuSE ghostview rpm 7.07. I have ESPGS version 8.15.1 on the system as part of my attempt to fix CUPS. I am not sure if the latter helped CUPS work or not.

Can anyone tell me what the key files are that I need to check/reinstall to get back to a simple working system.

Cheers

Tim.
