Ghosting a dual installation

Hi , Sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place. I have Mandrake 10.0 and windows XP installed on a computer and want to ghost it accross. I was wondering is it possible to do this with a dual installation and what would be the best way to go about it. Thanks for any help,

Are you talking about Norton Ghost??? If you are, Norton Ghost is capable of ghosting Linux ext2 and ext3 partitions to CD/DVD. If this is not what you mean, then please be more specific.

Well i have tried to use Norten ghost but it has caused problems. Just to explain what has hapened.

I have a PC with windows XP and Mandrake installed. All working perfectly.

I the used Norton Ghost to generate a clone of this master on the Server. I then broadcast this to all the PCs in the room. This
has worked successfully before.

However - I suspect that there are issues when ghosting a dual boot PC!

All of the other PCs crashed and the boot screen just displays "L 99 99 99 99 99 99
....."
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help

There is something wrong with the MBR. Ghosting a dual-boot computer would not hurt it. Why would Norton provide a Windows program that is capable of reading Linux partitions if it didn't work on dual-boot. Use the Mandrake CD and try to go into rescue mode and there should be an option to overwrite the master boot record. Go and try that.
