Ghost Experts..

Hi,
I'm trying to ghost a Slackware 9.1 installation to copy to multiple machines. I have a test image I would like to try, but Ghost 2003 is not copying the MBR properly. it locks up on the first couple of letters that LILO displays. For those who know ghost, I have tried the -ia (force image of every sector), -ib (copy mbr), and -nolilo (ghost will not patch lilo), but no options seem to work, and I have not been able to find this solution. Has anyone does this before? Any help is much appreciated.

I've never found ghost to work well on linux partitions. I would suggest using partimage. Download the rescue cd here:

http://www.partimage.org/

You have to do it one partition at a time, but it can image your mbr and accurately restore it.

Thanks, I have been working with partimage, but I didn't think it could copy/restore an MBR. The idea is for our end users to boot to a cd, and have it do everything for them. Is there any way to automate the restore of a root partition, swap, and MBR with partimage?
