Getting vmware to work with kernel 2.6.11

If you update your kernel to 2.6.11, you'll likely find that vmware 4.5.x won't load and that won't cooperate in building the module set you need. Instead, you need to apply a patch to vmware first. Here's the info:

Note that you should use petr's modification to kennyz's instructions (i.e., run './' after you copy the patch).

Worked for me on my Slackware current system with a shiny new 2.6.11 kernel.
