Getting the ssh2_* functions to run in PHP

Hi,
does anybody know how to get the ssh2_* functions to run in PHP? If I understand php.net correctly I have to install some sort of PHP-extension in order to get it to run....

Hi,
I just found this website:
http://php.paradoxical.co.uk/manual/ru/ref.ssh2.php

Now, my problem is that "pear install ssh2" only returns "No releases found for package 'ssh2'" and if I try to compile PECL/ssh2 by hand the "phpize" command returns "-bash: phpize: command not found".

Any Ideas?
