Try VirtualBox. It's in the repos.

Today it dawned on me for the first time that if Linux does not output any errors in response to a command, it may just imply that Linux has ignored it for whatever reason. This holds true to the following two commands for installing VMware Player version 3.1.6 after it's been downloaded.
chmod +x VMware-Player-3.1.6-744570.i386.bundle
sudo sh VMware-Player-3.1.6-744570.i386.bundle
This afternoon I decided to redo the commands and was excited to see a positive system response for the first time. Right after I entered the second command, the screen read
"Installing VMware 3.1.6
:
:
Installation was successful"
But my elation didn't last long. When I next entered 'vmplayer'and attempted to install the VMware Kernel Module Update per screen instructions, Linux reported that VMware was unable to build the kernel module. This is where I stand. I'm glad that at least I've installed vmplayer 3.1.6 and hope
that someone can advise me on how to continue from here. My sincere thanks to you all.

Just warning you, running a virtual machine on a 32-bit processor is incredibly slow. I've even tried running the incredibly lightweight Windows 95 in a VM on my Pentium 4 (Arch Linux host) and it was painfully slow. Virtualbox and qemu-kvm still support 32-bit CPUs, but I recommend using a 64-bit system for virtualization.

Shouldn't this topic be moved to the "Linux - Virtualization and Cloud" category?

Cam,
You're most welcome to move this post to a more appropriate category. Today I attempted to run a Vmware Player patch suggested by someone, again to no avail.
