It's been a while since I've used Pidgin, but doesn't it have an option somewhere which is called something like "only allow these people to contact me" (or similar)? That should work, unless the spam is actually coming from your contact's accounts, in which case you might need to use something like
Bot Sentry. But like I said, it's been a while.
