Remove all temporate files
Use command chkconfig to disable some services don't nessesary for you
For example
Quote:
chkconfig --level 5 cups off
chkconfig --level 5 cups off
chkconfig --level 5 crond off

These services aren't nessasary with me

Hi,
Well I would not suggest you to stop the crond service. however, you can stop the auditd services.
What do you mean by the term slow?? What does your CPU suggests?? try uptime command and check the load average on your system. If it shows a very high value then it means that your system has a high ready queue for the applications, which means it will be nice to have a reboot round the corner.
Please specify the problem so that we could get into the broader picture.

Can you be more specific? How is it getting slow -- more swapping? Programs running slower? Longer startup/login times? A specific program slow? Do you know what is the reason -- have you installed new (versions) of some programs?
You may to check with 'top' command if any particular program takes too much memory/cpu time.
Best,
Ott

Depending on your configuration, there may be many causes. In general, the quickest way to speed up a computer is to add RAM. But if--for example--your HD is nearly full, that would also slow you down.
Give us some parameters: RAM, # and size of HD(s) and how full, etc.
