Arrow Getting Perl to run

I am attempting to install a java webserver, using Resin and Apache, and a Java Server (jserv). In order for it to work, it needs to have Perl installed, I have downloaded and installed a version of Perl call perl5.005_03, and I also have /usr/lib/perl5 installed already, when I pstree, perl doesn't show up.

How can I make it start?
