Getting .Mov Quicktime Files downloaded from the internet to run.

Hello, I know this question has been asked before, but unfortunately the projects that I checked are rather antiquated. E.G. running for KDE2

My question is, how can I get some quicktime movies I downloaded (apple computer commercials) to run on my computer properly with sound.

Both Mplayer and Xine run the movie just fine, (excluding blurriness that stays on the screen, less serious but also really annoying problem), except for sound. Apparently the quicktime codec isn't supported.

Xmovie can run the mpegs, not the .mov's

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd really just like to be able to watch my movies WITH sound.

Oh and I run a Debian computer on a Dell, 1.5ghz machine with 256 mb of ram. ummm if you need relevant info or need to contact me to get me to try stuff out you can email me or IM at raikunite.

Hmm.

I had this problem too. It went away when I compiled and installed the latest MPlayer version (and installed the all-in-one codecs from the MPlayer page).
