Getting Error When Trying To Update Ubuntu 8.04

I had upgraded to ubuntu 8.04 (architecture i386) from 7.10 recently. When I check for updates, I get the following error:

Not All Updates Can Be Installed
Run a partial upgrade to install as many updates as possible.
This can be caused by:
- A previous upgrade which didn't complete.
- Problems with some of the installed software.
- Unofficial software packages not provided by ubuntu.
- Normal changes of pre-release version of ubuntu.

In the process of trying to update, I also get the following error:

W: GPG error: http://ftp.de.debian.org sid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A70DAF536070D3A1

Could this particular error have anything to do with Deluge? I'm not able to bring up Deluge on my computer, by the way.

I want to be able to update my computer withour any errors. I don't want to partially update it, I want to completely update it without seeing any of these errors. How do I fix this?

When you upgraded to 8.04, did you do a clean install or apt-get dist-upgrade?

If you did dist-upgrade, check you /etc/apt/sources.list to be certain your repos are for 8.04 and not the earlier version.

bigrigdriver, thanks for replying. TO answer your question, I had reformmated my drive and installed ubuntu 7.10 from disc. I then upgraded when the Upgrade Manager notified me for an upgrade.

As for the /etc/apt/sources.list, I noticed that after upgrading to 8.04 that it had repos for 7.10. This was weird. It was recommended on this or another forum to get the default repos for 8.04 which I had copied and pasted in my current /etc/apt/sources.list.

Please let me know what are the next steps. Thanks !!!
