getent not returning expected results

I have a Redhat Linux server which is authenticating from Active Directory, for some reason of late it is not returning proper results on getent passwd.
It returns some users but not all, it is also returning machine entires.
I have the same configuration on other linux servers, which works fine.

I have also tried wbinfo -u | grep "username" and I do get the proper return, but for the same user when I do getent passwd | grep "username" I don't get anything back.

Do let me know if you need any other information.
