Exclamation genymotion won't run

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with genymotion. I am trying to start it and I am left with an error that I don't quite know how to handle.

Code:
alec@toolbox-pc:~/Downloads/genymotion$ ./genymotion
./genymotion: error while loading shared libraries: libdouble-conversion.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
alec@toolbox-pc:~/Downloads/genymotion$
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi...

The error means that a needed library file "libdouble-conversion.so.1" is most likely not installed on your system. What distribution and version of Linux are you running?

Regards...

I've run gennymotion on one of their supported distros (Ubuntu 14.04) with no issues. Install virtual box from the vbox website. According to their user guide that's one of the few requirements.

https://www.genymotion.com/#!/develo...e#requirements

You'll need kernel headers and dkms dev packages before installing virtualbox. It's best to read the user guide for install instructions fully before installing any software.

why did you start a new thread?
this one was well under way:
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...on-4175562205/
and you never answered my last questions.
however it seems you made some progress.
what have you changed meanwhile?
