Gentoo with no internet connection - getting packages
So far my experiences of gentoo have been good, but that's been with the huge amount of software on the dvd cover-disk I got gentoo on. However, it's got Gnome 2.2, and I'd really like to have a go of 2.4. also a couple of other packages I might like to get more recent versions of.
How can I download gentoo packages here with my fast Uni connection, and take them home and have it all work out nicely with a quick # emerge ? Will a package be one nice big file, or will I have to spend hours downloading lots of little ones?
