Gentoo PHP or GCC problem after update Please help

Hello all!
I have a bit of a problem I had my gentoo box offline for sometime eand the other day I pulled it out of storage to check it out.
Well when I did I ran the update
After that I lost my PHP for my apache HTTPD
So I went ahead and attempted to re-emerge PHP And it failed.
this is the output from
Quote:
emerge --info '=dev-lang/php-5.5.18::gentoo
Quote:
server htdocs # emerge --info =dev-lang/php-5.5.18::gentoo
!!! No gcc found. You probably need to 'source /etc/profile'
!!! to update the environment of this terminal and possibly
!!! other terminals also.
