Gentoo: Mplayer
 

Getting sound, no picture.

Set-up
1. Nvidia FX 5200 with nvidia driver installed (nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx)
2. Getting the Nvidia splash screen on "startx"
3. Put gnome in the USE variable but there is no gmplayer

#mplayer Blade.avi

only gettin sound.

#mplayer -vo xv Blace.avi

fails all together.

trz mplayer -vo x11 file.avi
also try to change the audio driver
