gentoo grp install

i just need to know something, i am installing gentoo linux for the first time today, i doing a stage 3 install, and i've reached the part where i'm doing kernel configuration, and i type

emerge -k sys-kernel/gentoo-sources

it connects to a ite and download a source file, what i want to know is if i can prevent the downloading part and use a local part, because in the installation guide it says that if i'm doing a stage 3 install with grp then i need no network connection. so can someone tell me how to prevent it from downloading the file.

thx in advance,

While I'm sure that there are plenty of people here who might be able to answer this question. I think that you might have better luck in finding an answer or getting a detailed response at

i went there as you suggested, and got a response from it, there is a path mistake in the installation docs, so everything works fine now.
