Gentoo Emerge Failure, Now HDD is Full !

I was emerging firefox, thunderbird, and openoffice-ximian overnight and i must of stressed the cpu too hard because 2 of the compilations failed. Now my hard drive is absolutely filled to the brim.

I tried emerge -c and emerge --depclean but it hardly did anything. There is no firefox or open office to unmerge. My /proc/kcore is 1024mb, says program crash data, and i only have 256mb of ram.

Somewhere, something is taking up 2.22gb of my hard drive and i need some help resolving this issue.

Ok! i got lucky and found all the open office files in one folder /var/tmp/portage/openoffice. 2gb ! im currently deleting it. But I still have a problem with /proc/kcore being 4 times bigger than my amount of RAM. Any helpful advice on how to clean this and restore to natural size?

LOL, Nevermind, it seems i have fixed my own problems. After a few reboots and a file system check everything turned out ok.
