[SOLVED] Gentoo: Can't emerge gdm

I've installed xorg, which works fine, and gnome-light.

So I wanted to boot with gdm and not xdm. I've changed /etc/conf.d/xdm and /etc/rc.conf. I even did a
Code:
echo "exec gnome-session" > ~/.xinitrc
But my laptop kept booting with xdm. So I read I needed to install gdm, therefore:

Code:
emerge gdm
but something went wrong...

Code:
Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "virtual/mta".
(dependency required by "app-admin/sudo-1.6.9_p16" [ebuild])
¿What does it mean?. I'm too lazy at writing posts, so I prefer searching for the answer on google, but this one got me.

It means you don't have an MTA installed on your box. A brief discussion of virtuals can be found in the Handbook under the Portage Introduction section in subsection d.

(courier, esmtp, exim, postfix, nullmailer, sendmail, ssmtp ...)

Glad you've got things working. I would've probably opted for a lighter MTA like ssmtp.
