Unhappy Gentoo 64bit - Aptana (Java)

I'm having a little trouble getting Aptana to run right now. I'm have JRE v1.5 and GTK+ as required by the app.

The error I'm getting on startup is:

(...) Can't load IA 32-bit .so on a AMD 64-bit platform

This makes me think I need some things compiled for 64 bit, but as I know absolutely nothing about Java or its many packages, I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Any advice you could offer would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

From the looks of it, you're trying to install a 32 bit application onto a 64 bit OS. That won' work but I seem to remember that gentoo has a compatibility library that does make it possible. Try installing that first - or maybe it doesn't need to be installed at all, I think it can be enabled by setting a specific use flag. I guess you should have a look at the various flag descriptions to learn more.
