Gentoo liveCD 2004.2 has problems with certain BIOSes. You can either grab the 2004.1 liveCD or get the 2004.2-try2 disk from the /experimental directory on any gentoo mirror.

If you'd prefer to get a floppy to boot from, I recommend tomsrtbt.

hey guys im havin one more error

im on compiling and installing the Kernal in the manual

make dep && make bzImage modules modules_install > i just typed that it installed the kernal but i got this error at the bottom

no rule to make target 'bzimage'. stop

so the next command im supposed to do is

cp arch/i386/boot/bzimage /boot/kernal-2.4.26-gentoo-r9 but it doesnt work because bzimage wasnt created

is this mandatory or can i skip this? and does anyone know how to fix it?
