generating hardware interrupts


generally hardware like keyboard generates interrupts when we press a key.
can we simulate that interrupt ie we have to generate an interupt manully which services keyboard interrupts

You question should really be in the Programming forum but that answer lies in more of a why than can it be done scenario because you'd have to check The Linux Documentation Project for the IRQ part.

Is this a KVM switchbox issue?
