gDesklets: could not find Python headers
 

I have been trying to install gdesklets for some time now, with very little success so any help in this matter will be warmly received.... I found the How-To to install gdesklets via rpm, but on the second rpm install, the pygtk-2.2.0 install, gave me this error:

configure: error: could not find Python headers

Also, I am running Mandrake 10.0 if that makes a difference.

do you have "python-devel" installed ?

That is a good question: How do I check?

rpm -qa | grep "python-devel"

I think that that is it. I going to go fishing for the python package.
