gDesklets and the xml parser

ok im trying to get gDesklets installed for gnome and it keeps telling me it cant find the xml parser for compile. ive downloaded numerous things and installed then with no success, also i looked on my slackware cds and and installed libxml2 even though it says it is required for gnome and kde so i probbably already have it. does anyoen know how to fix this?

Not sure. Have you got all of the dependencies. The readme just says, Python 2.2 or greater, libgtop2, gnome-python 1.99.17 or better, SWIG 1.3.
Do you know exactly what it is looking for? You can get xml parsers for java, perl, python, etc..
