When i try to configure and perform a make i get these errors:

[matthijs@ltmali gDesklets-0.31]$ su
[root@ltmali gDesklets-0.31]# ./configure

checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes

checking for gcc... no

checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
See `config.log' for more details.

Anyone knows more about this?
