when launching firefox

however firfox loads, and works.
whats does this error mean ? should i worry about it ?
safe to ignore ?

my system: Fedora Core 2 (custom 2.6.6 kernel )
Firefox-0.9 RC

"services nfs status " shows NFS to be STOPED. (i dont use NFS, so i removed the link from the runlevel)

this seems to be preventing both firefox 9 stable, and thunderfird 0.7stable from functioning correctly.
any help ?

it's been a while, but, i believe it was just a forum search for

TCP/IP networking for ORBit

you'll probably find more info here

I got this error on my Mac and solved it with the command:

>>launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchAgents/org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist
>>sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.freedesktop.dbus-system.plist
org.freedesktop.dbus-system

Fixed my problem by using sudo then the app.

I was getting a similar error. Turns out my root filesystem was competely filled up, and the system couldn't write some important files. I run Ubuntu 10.04, and over the last 2 1/2 years the updates have taken a toll on my system.

I entered this to remove over 400Meg of un-needed files on the system:

sudo apt-get autoremove

This got everything up and running back to normal.

I tried various solutions from here and elswhere on the net without success. I then purged gconf2 and reinstalled it and the error message went away. This is on Debian stable.
