the gcc software compiler has absolutely nothing to do with a photo nor the DE's "screen size"

I want to ask different type of ioctl and device i/o function which operate on device files...
for e.g. to eject CDROM we use CDROMEJECT ioctl, in the same way suppose I want to use /dev/audio or /dev/fb0 file, which function or ioctl should I use so that I can get my desired work done from the device file?

again the software compiler( gcc) has noting to do with
Ejecting a cd
mounting "/dev/fd0 ( a 3.5 in floppy)

use the built in tools for your desktop

QT4 or GTK for GUI functions

Quote:

gcc only builds the software for that

look into using "openCV" for say grabbing a raw security camera or web cam
or use gmic, vips,c, ,IM , "DevIL" , or any of the graphics libs

and have a look a libc
http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/man...ode/index.html
