GCC for athlon?.

Hi,
Please let me know how to compile for athlon rpms using rpmbuild. I used rpmbuild -ta --target=athlon <tarball> to compile xine-libs abd xine-ui. It is compiled but the installed xine is not working.!! ( when I compiled by rpmbuild -ta <tarball> is working but the output is not an athlon rpm that was i386.rpm).

$gcc -dumpmachine returns
i386-redhat-linux

So I think there is some configuration changes required in GCC, if yes kindly let me know.

$gcc -dumpversion
3.3.2

My OS is Fedora Core 1, and gcc installed from that distributions.
Processor AMD ahtelon 1800 XP

Thanking You

"So I think there is some configuration changes required in GCC, if yes kindly let me know."

You need to use the -mcpu=athlon parameter:
gcc -mcpu=athlon
See:
man gcc

O.K, But I think that option cannot used with rpmbuild command. so is there any option to make in GCC that the default compiling for athlon-xp ?.
Please note that my aim to make rpms for athlon. And also I compiled and installed rpms by
rpmbuild -ta <tarball> ( but I got a i386.rpm only ) and failed when using
rpmbuild -ta --target=athlon <tarball>
to compile xine-lib abd xine-ui

Sorry that was my mistake, one more dependencies were required to compile, unfortunately when compiling to rpm I didn't get any error messages.
Thanking You,
Ras
