gcc and kernel ()

Hi!

Does any of you know if the debian kernel image 2.4.20 under the DEBIAN SID is compiled with the latest gcc?

I need to know this because I have to compile one program that looks for matching versions...

thanks!! :-)

one can usually tell the compiler not to check (os skip the checks) for matching versions. usually, this should not do anything bad. if unsure, recompile the kernel. with your version of gcc.

if you didnt update your gcc since installing it, there should be no problems.
